Go to the lexmark driver download website and enter your printer model, you can download the software for your printer

Download this Windows Vista driver package from Lexmark. Install it and your computer should recognize the printer.

I have a prrinter z730 is it compatiable with windows vista, I do not have the disk. what other printers are compatable with this compaq laptop

If you do not have the disk you download software from Internet, follow instructions below, the software is the same as Z73:

Click right here.
A web page will open, select country, operative system etc., and click on download now loaction.
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find thefile, double click on the file, if you get in troubles ,then follow instructions below to reset and reinstall:

Unplug printer USB.
Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
Download driver from website and run the file.
Follow driver installation wizard.
Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Some Lexmark printer does not work on Vista.

I lost my drivers for my lexmark z730 how do I find drivers

You didn't specify which operating system you have, but drivers can be downloaded here, directly from Lexmark:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+Z730+Color+Jetprinter

Just choose your operating system, and download.

Be sure to unplug the USB from the PC BEFORE installing the software. Only plug it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.
