Question about Panasonic TH-42PHD8UK 42 in. Plasma Television

1 Answer

Panasonic multi display feature

Is the multi display feature only for monitors or do the Panasonic TV's also have the multi display feature. I'm refering to being able to "bunch" the monitors in 2, 4, 9, or 16 plasmas for a really big screen experience.

Secondly, how many signals will I have to transmit? Only one for four monitors or will it require a separate signal to each monitor?

Where can I go for detailed information on setting up the multi display?

I am not shure if the tv's are capable of multi display features. I know that some of the tv's are capable of showing multiple pictures on the same screen.

Usually the signal is sent to 1 panel and the out from that panel and into the next panel and so forth unit they all have a signal.

I do not believe VDR-D100 has got this feature. It is only available in VDR-D200. See this manual. http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/VDRD100-MULTI.pdf

TV and computer monitors have slightly different aspect ratios. You need to the configure the PC display settings. Check also if there is a panasonic display driver for your TV.

Panasonic Model TC - 32LX60 can't switch to 1080i again manual doesn't tell me

The resolution is not set at the TV, the video source sets what the TV will display, 720i/p in = 720i/p display. May be you are talking about the aspect RATIO setting, 16:9, 4:3, zoom1, 2, 3.
It works the same as youe PC monitor, the resolution is set at the PC not at the monitor.

My recorded is linked to a tv with a Freeview box in the tv, but I cannot record Freeview channels as it receives via the annalogue connector. I'm not technical - how do I overcome this?

if you TV has a feature called "Monitor" out, then you can take a "Feed"out, via, The AV, link, the Yellow, Video, Red & White Audio. wiring color to color, and selecting EXTERNAL IN on VCR. If this feature is available, whatever is on screen, is displayed out of that "Monitor Video & Audio Socket"
Get a TV manual and a VCR and have a look it will show you how.

Hello i just got a panasonic hdtv and i am trying to hook up my computer to watch a dvd. can i do this without specialized cables? i have a usb

Take the computer monitor cable off the back of your computer tower and plug it into the TV. The TV will have a plug on the back of it that looks exactely like the plug on the back of your tower. Of course that is if your TV has that feature.

While stopped, press and hold REWIND and PAUSE on the unit and then also press and hold OPEN/CLOSE on the unit until Initialized appears from the display. Turn the unit off and on again. If it is still not working, Panasonic Consumer Support recommends having the product checked by an authorized Panasonic service center.
