Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Our PS3 is not being recognized by our TV, "No signal". I tried it on other TVs as well. Same problem. I also setup our old PS2 using the same configuration and TV setup (Video 2, etc) and it worked fine. I also tried out two different cables and both worked for the PS2 and not for the PS3. The PS3 previously worked fine. Any thoughts? Who could fix this?
I'm having similar problems. I had my PS3 on pause, whent out for a couple hours, came back to find a weird fuzzy screen. My PS3 had froze, so I turned it off. I turned it on a couple minutes later, and the green light came on, however, my controllers would not connect, no image was popping up and it also wouldnt turn off unless I flicked the switch on the back. After contacting Sony, they told me it could be an overheating issue. If it has been less than a year, they will replace it, NOT FIX IT. Which is great and all, but unfortunately I am about to lose the countless hours I've put into assassins creed, skate, call of duty 4 and motorstorm.
HOWEVER. If your PS3 is still "functioning properly" except for no signal, turn the power off on the back, turn it back on, press and hold the power button on the front untill you hear the second beep, let go, give it a couple seconds, turn it off from the back and then back on, hold it till the second beep again. Good luck.
P.S. I recomend getting the extra cooling fan for it, and saving game data on another card (SD) incase crap like this happens.

Hey I have the same problem, when I turn my ps3 on the green light shows but there is no screen showing for the game, and my tv says no signal. After waiting hours it sometimes finally works, but as soon as I turn it off to go outside or and come back in to play it doesn't work. Sony gave me many options such turning it on in safe mode amd also deleting corrupted data. Ive tried everything but I think I jus need a cooler to keep the system from overheating suggested from PSN

Hi, have just spent 3 hours trying to solve a sudden loss of channels and appearance of SBS (which we didn't have before)... checked HDMI, rescanned but little signal - turns out it was the aerial cable (a long and cheap one) that once I removed and ran the aerial from the ps3 tuner to tv and then tv to aerial port was fine (I had linked in the video previously and all worked fine up until today)...? Just another thing for someone to try - process of elimination worked for me but hope it takes you less time!! :)
