Deleting songs how do i delete songs from my rca lyra RD1090? i tried deleting them by going into my computer and selecting the songs but they are still on the player once i turn it on.

i appreciate the time you took to answer but unfortunately i already tried that. the weird thing is that it deletes the songs from showing up on "RCA_LYRA" when i click on it but when i go right click on "RCA_LYRA" to get see its properties, the used internal memory is still the same. and likewise, when i unplug the player from my computer and turn it on, the songs that i deleted still show up and play. the only way i have found to actually delete songs from this mp3 player is to format it, but since that deletes everything, i have to go back and reinstall the original software back on it.

Connect your MP3 player to the computer with a USB cord. click My Computer you should see RCA Lyra. Next,
go into windows and open up a folder --- any folder will do (you can use one on your desktop if you like) once the folder opens, please click the little arrow around the top of the folder. you should see it say :
Desktop,
My Documents,
My computer
c:\
(and which ever drives you have on your pc) please look for one called:
RCA_LYRA.

once you see that one, please click on it.
then, what you will see in your folder is all of the music you have inside your mp3 player. even those disturbing audio files that they put into our players.

To delete those files, and any mp3 songs, highlight them, and press delete. then press ok and there you are. if you would like to move the songs to your computer, just highlight them and drag them onto your desktop, or another folder, or where ever yopu would like to put them.

once your done, just unplug and there you go (oh! you can also add files to your player this way. just add them into the folder with your mp3 pluged in).
altight, hope that helps. i hope you all have a nice day and take care. cheers..."

H E L P!!

Suggestion! When you have the RCA Lyra connected to your computer, right click on Start - go to Explore. Then find the RCA device (drive letter). Double click on it. The songs will display. SINGLE - Click on a song that you want to delete. Right click on it. Choose Delete - and it's gone. (I have just removed some of my songs the other day!) Good luck!
