I am getting no audio at all from computer. Green plug is plugged into green out plug at back of computer but I am still not getting any sound

Make sure that all of your software / drivers are up to date for your sound card. Make sure that your speaker power is plugged in (if it has external power). Also check to make sure that all of your audio sources are un-muted. ( Speaker on taskbar / control panel settings, as well as the sound settings from the program you are using.

No Sound LGW234T-PF

The LG W2343T does not have speakers. So you can't plug in a 3.5 mm audio patch cable between the computer's line out or headphone jack and the monitor. (Similarly, other devices can't provide sound to the monitor.)

Are you using a desktop or a laptop? If you have a laptop, make sure that the correct audio drivers are loaded for your OS and make sure that the audio isn't muted (look in the lower right on a Windows system in the tray for the speaker icon). On an HP laptop, we had to use the Component Services (Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative tools > Component Services > Services in Windows 7) and stop all audio services and restart them. Then reboot the computer to use the internal speakers at a reasonable volume.

For any unit with external speakers (required for a desktop, optional for a laptop) , connect the speakers to the audio out port (green for 3.5 mm for single connection speakers, see the manual for other speakers) or the headset port. Next make sure that the device drivers are loaded and correct for your sound card (or motherboard audio). (Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager). If your sound isn't active, look at the Sound header. Then choose Manage Audio Devices and the Playback tab to select the desired speaker option. (Again these are for Windows 7).

If you still have no audio, make sure that the speakers have power (USB cord or AC adapter plugged in depending on the speakers). If it is USB powered, try a different port or a powered hub. If you have an AC adapter, check if it is warm. Some speakers have power/volume knobs. So check if they are on (if there is an LED, that is an easy check). If still no audio, try a different audio patch cable, if possible. Otherwise, try different speakers. There may be a damaged wire preventing the speakers from working. Depending on the problem and if your speakers are under warranty, it may be worth fixing or not.

Documentation for the monitor is available here: . Click on the Support tab.

If you want to use a stereo receiver with RCA audio inputs, you'll need an adapter or a 3.5 mm to RCA m/m audio cable.

I hope this helps.

Monitor works perfectly, but after a recent crash of my comp. Ive lost all sound ..The comp doesnt seem to recognize the build in speakers..

The computer does not have to recognize the powered speakers that are built-in the monitor, the computer feeds the analog audio signal the powered speakers inside the montior, there is no driver needed either, but you do need the PC sound card driver for you to get sound through any powered speakers (either the desk top powered speakers or the one inside the montior).
Since your computer had crashed, the driver for the sound card may be have to be reloaded.
You can verify if the monitor speakers are working or not by feeding it with an MP3 player or sound output from CD player.

I don't have the sound disk anymore and the monitor is not producing any sound. When I try to download the driver my computer says it doesn't recognize my model VA1930wm

The monitor driver is for your computer to recognize all the resolutions your monitor can handle, there is no sound driver for the monitor to work since the monitor built-in powered speakers are jsut that, powered speakers, same as the one you buy if the monitor does not have built-in powered speaker.
You can test the monitor speaker system by feeding it with the MP3 player or any sound sources.
It may have bad power amplifiers IC. You will be better off spending money on a good set of PC powered speaker system that will provide a lot better sound quality than the quarter-size speakers in the monitor.

Soundboxen do not work how can i find the drivers for it and how to installed it

No driver is needed for the built-in speakers to work. The built-in powered speakers work the same as a desk top powered speakers system.
You just need to ifind out if it is the amplifiers in side the monitor are bad or it is the sound card problem in the PC.
Feed the monitor with the sound source such as the MP3 player to see if you can get any sound from your monitor.
If it does not work then the problem is inside the monitor, but to have it repaired will be to expensive, you will be better off spending the repair money on a good set of powered desk top speakers system instead.
Please leave rating if it helps.

No sound from monitor speakers

Lets find out first if it is the monitor' powered speakers problem or the sound card problem.
Try feeding the monitor with sound source such as MP3 player, if it does not work, then the power amp circuits may be at fault, it may not be worth having it fixed since you will be better off spending the money on a good set of powered speakers that will put out so much better sound than the speakers the size of a quarter in the monitor.

Speaker in the Monitor?

It looks like there are no speakers according to:

You should be able to use any external speakers to your system. The question is looks and power. You will likely have to buy speakers that have power in order to get enough volume.

Most speakers that come with monitors are of very, very low quality. You now have the option of buying good speakers (if you want to pay for them). If you are in a hurry you can likely pick up cheap speakers at the drugstore or Walmart. Another option is headphones.

Good luck finding the right sound.

I stopped having sound coming from the speakers. I checked and we are not on mute, and the volume is turned up high.

Make sure all your connections are tight and you have power to your speakers...Then go Start>Control Panel>Sound and Hardware>Sound, after you are in here make sure that your speakers are selected as default device.
Hope this helps, pls rate

I have no sound at all

Have you checked that sound is coming from the computer? Make sure you don't have the output muted and that your volume is turned up. Check the output by plugging in a pair of headphones or another speaker system. If that's all normal, the problem is in the speakers.

The speakers aren't actually a part of the monitor although they do hang on the sides. Check that the audio cable from your computer to the input jack on the right speaker is plugged in at both ends. Check that the power adapter is plugged into a working AC outlet and that the power plug to the speaker is firmly seated. Does the power indicator light when you turn the speakers on? Is the volume control up? Those AC adapters sometimes do fail. The adapter is replaceable if it's gone bad (you can find a suitable one at Radio Shack).

If everything else is checking out and the speakers still have no sound, the amplifier integrated circuit has failed. While this could be repaired, you can probably buy a new set of speakers for what a service shop would charge to replace the amplifier.
