Double image almost like 3D is there an

This is a model first sold in 2002---if it is 3d it means one of the two convergence chips (IC's) is bad.

This set uses 2 of the STK-392-110 chips--they and any protect resistors around them that are bad need to be replaced and the set adjusted with the Hitachi remote.

I do not know if you can do this repair--consider that you can buy the pair of chips and any parts needed for less than 20 dollars--most shops charge 300-400 for this kind of repair...


Do you know how to solder if I tell you how to get at the parts etc?

Magic focus will not work if either of the chips is bad. After the set is repaired it will not have this problem again for 5-8 years---normal life span on these parts.
