Question about Car Audio & Video

1 Answer

Headphones Can you plug any headphones into the PADVD-380? If so, would you still have to have the station set to the specific frequency to hear it? I have a 3 year old and I'm not crazy about the idea of listening to Scooby Doo or the Wiggles through my car radio speakers on a 6 hour drive to visit my parents. I would like to listen to my own music while he listens to his DVDs through headphones. Is that possible?

Try checking the base-station and the frequency they're tuned to.

If they both all of a sudden didn't work it must be an issue with the player or the base-station.

Hope this helps!

I'm hearing a high frequency electrical "whirring"

COuld be a grounding issue. Place a ground plug on your computer where it plugs into the wall outlet. You can get these at almost any store for about a $1.
Otherwise, you might try using a battery backup system.

I can not get it to work with my pod touch

Plug the device into your power plug in the car. This kind of adapter uses radio frequencies to tune it in so make sure that your radio on your car is set to the same as the device. This will only work if there is no station for that specific frequency - for example, of the device is set to 88.8 FM and there is a local station set to that frequency, all you will hear is static. There is an option on the device to change was frequncy is it set to, tune your radio to the matching number and it should work.

If your problem is getting it connected, there will either be a wire at the bottom to plug into your ipod (goes in the same place as it does when you plug it into the computer) or it will be mounted right on the device. Make sure it is fully attached on both sides or it won't work.

What fm station should my PADVD-360 sound come thru?

Sometimes 88.7 , 89.1 just run a scan and wherever the radio sounds clear then thats your station, make sure to preset it in your memory.

Good luck.

I am trying to stream music form Archos vison 3 to

Have you turned the transmitter on I assume?

I would try other stereos e.g.) your car to see if you can rule out the player or stereo.

Some more info as well, have you been trying different frequencies on your Archos, or just cruising up and down on your stereo?

I believe you need to pick a weak, or no station frequency in order to stream to the stereo, as the player is not sending out a high powered signal.

Mine works on my samsung home theatre from 10 feet away. Have not tested the limits although. Good luck.

if your pioneer radio has the light blue ipbus/changer plug on the back of the radio, you can use this adapter and turn on the <aux> in the menu where you set the clock.

Red light isn't indicating it detects source

I have the same model as you.

Plug in the transmitting unit into a good working power outlet. Make sure you have the audio connected to a loud source. Turn on the source device producing the loud audio to be transmitted to your headphones. (This being your IPod - Turn it full blast). Now see if the transmitting unit's LED light is on. Check headphones for audio. (May have to tune in the headphones till green and adjust its volume as well).

Note: Some radio stations bleed over into the headphones and you may have gotten the "Beautiful Music" from this radio station frequency harmonic anomaly. Keep tuning your headphones till you hear your music or audio source.

I recommend that the source of your audio have its built-in speakers off, while still providing audio out to your transmitting unit, via an external audio output. Check your source manual or look for audio jacks on the front or back. There may be a setting to turn this on and for the main built-in speakers to be turned off as well.

If this does not work, unplug the transmitting unit, and then plug it back in again, after waiting for about 10 seconds - all while audio is being provided to the unit. It should come on.

How do I preset individual radio station frequencies?

To set individual presets: 1. tune to the station you want as a preset 2. hold down the number (ie "1") on the remote until the number blinks on the system 3. repeat for all other stations
press the number on the remote to tune to your preset
this is very similar to setting the presets on my car radio
