the red triangle will go out when i turn up my subs and I think it may have something to do with the battery. when ever they hit a certain intensity, they stop and go off and on, but the blue light never goes out.

- i have around 3 to 4 gauge power wire and a 3 guage ground. I have never had a problem with them for a year up until now. All of the sudden they started doing this, so first thing i thought was check the fuses. I did that, they appeared to be fine. i changed the conection terminals and that worked for like a few days, and now its back tot he same thing. The red triangle will go out when the subs do, but the blue light still remains on. I just wish i knew what the triangle means. the amp is not bridged and Im only using two 12inch alpines that have worked flawlessly with the settings i normally have them on. up until now of coarse. I guess I can recheck the ground lead and make sure it is on paintless metal, I have a theory that the speaker wires have been changed, ive seen cases where the actuall wires for them from the terminal to the magnet melt off. Ill post my findings, but i hope this helps you out enough.
What gauge power wire? what gauge ground? where is it grounded? Power directly to battery? is the amp Bridged? what impedance are the sub(s)? single voice coil sub? dual voice coil?. Post a comment with the answers and I can help you figure this out. Without all the info, I'm just throwing darts at a board.
The problem you are describing could be caused by numerous problems. I think you might be on the right track by starting to look at power issues. First be sure that your battery terminals are clean and connected to your battery tightly. Make sure that you have a good battery by having it checked out by your local autoparts store who will usually check it for free. The amp needs to have the proper size wire between the battery and the amp, fused at the battery and the amp according the mfg specifications. Just as important as the positive battery wire from the amp, be sure that the ground from the amp is secured to a solid paint free metal that is commonly grounded to the negative side of the battery. I am assuming that you do not have and old vw, positivly grounded car or some other weird car. If the power checks out with the battery, make sure that your car's charging system is up to par. If your stereo is requiring a lot of power, you may need to upgrade your cars charging system. Another cause of the amp going on and off would be the use of too many speakers or blown speakers. You need to check the mfg specifications for the amp to ensure that you are not overloading it.

my amp keeps going into power saving mode it gets 12v at the power cable and also gets an earth when the fuse is out but when the fuse is in it only gets 6-7v which indicates to me that the amp is faulty but i have tried 3 different amps and have had the same problem is the anything else would cause this many thanks
