I hit a curb and it's not working properly..

As i hit the curb, i turned my wheels and i hit the driver side tire with the curb. i haven't put the car on jacks yet but i can see that I messed up the driver side lower control arm and there is also something wrong with the steering, but i don't know what it is. Can somebody help me? I plan on fixing it myself tomorrow. Advice would be awesome.

Best advice at this time is to jack up both front wheels and support vehicle on stands! then remove wheels and check/compare damage with the undamaged side as to what damage has been done? then either come back with info ? for advice or have a competant mechanic localy? advise you ? i do appreciate you wish to save $$$$s in diy and you feel confident and wish to do the repair/s saving on garage labour costs but when job is done you will need to have steering tracking etc recheck hope this helps and wish you luck !

What did I do to my 06 trailblazer?

Possible that the steering gear box may have been damaged. Also the a frame and strut may be causing the problem. Best to have a qualified garage do the work.

93 Dodge Spirit hit curb Hit curb on back driver side tire. Nothing wrong with tire but right after I hit the curb, my car started to shake and slow down. It turned off completely when at a stop. Oil...

the smoke came from the spilled oil leaking onto a hot surface ( manifold) No problem there. The oil light coming on was probably from the oil surging away from the oil pickup in the sump momentarily allowed the oil pump to suck air hence a drop in oil pressure. To have all that happen, the hit on the curd was substantial. so I thinking bent axle flange and broken engine mounts could explain vibrations and engine shaking

check if your shocks are leaking. Jack up the car and with the right wheel off the ground check it for play in the bearing if it is tight and not grinding it is good. I would try another alignment shop if you dont find anything. Oh by the way dont let the wife hit any more curbs. If it is hitting curbs it could get knocked out of alignment.

I hit a curb on the back driver side and now the wheel is bent what parts would i have to repair

It may be that you'll luck out with just a wheel change. Depends on how hard you hit the curb. If it got hit hard enough it can damage more, but the way to tell is to mount a straight wheel (pick one up at a wrecking yard for 1/2 the price of a new one). Then mount your tire on the wheel, put it on the lugs with the tire still in the air, give it a good spin and watch the tracking. Chances should be pretty good that you'll only need the wheel..
