How can I repair my Honeywell Bar Fridge Model 88031. There appears little or no power going to the rear fans & the interior light flickers.... but fridge does NOT get cold. Do u have a solution?
I
have successfully had mine fixed. I don't know if it will last but
we'll see. The capacitor was blown(you can tell this because the top is
buldged out) and a part(not sure what it was called) that has an
aluminum heatsink attached to it in the middle of the board. I had
someone solder the new parts on and away it went. I customized the
cover on the back with a bigger fan to keep it cooler. The original
design was pretty insufficient. I was unable to post a picture so if
you want one email me at bigcheese95@gmail.com.

- the mystery part is a Transister field effect or fet.
It sounds like a bad fan. That would make the compressor click on and off which would make the light flicker. If your condensor fan isnt running try replacing it.

Fisher & Paykel bar fridge does not get cold, compressor runs for about 2 minutes and gets very hot before stopping (it has thermal protection). Could it be that the gas has leaked out? Is it possible to test the gas pressure as there isn't a connection to connect any gauges to.

Robotek, just wanted to let you know that these fridges are not the compressor type. They use a TEC1-12706 thermo-electric chip that pushes heat from the inside of the fridge to what is apparently a huge heat core on the back. Looks like a regular fridge... but I don't think there is any coolant in these puppies. Anyways... everything seems to be running on my fridge (fans, lights, etc)... but it doesn't cool. I have read of blown caps and diodes on the power supply... but this doesn't seem to be the case for me as all of my measurements show proper power is being supplied. I suspect that the TEC is gone... so I am going to order one on Ebay and give it a shot. I just learned all of this just now so forgive me if there are any mistakes here... I am not a specialist in this field. Just wanted to share what I have learned.

The dial is set to 1 but still everything is freezing. there is this "long tube" that is attached form the top but not sure if that should be up against the freezer section or if this has anything to do with temp regulation. Thanks for any help

She stopped working. I took apart and the fuse on the circuit board was blewn. No holder, but soldered in there. I soldered a fuse holder, reinstalled the fuse and it fried it. Bad circuit board?
