I bought this GPS unit for my hubby for Christmas...the manual may as well have been non-existent since there is nothing in there about the remote that attaches to the steering wheel...can you help, please?

Set your computer to 800 by 600 by 60 Hertz video-resolution.
Connect the monitor, to see if it supports these settings.
Then, try 1024 by 768, and try 1280 by 1024, and try 1366 x 768 resolution,
to see which looks best.
Take it to an audio/video repair store, and get an estimate of how much it would cost to repair;
it may be cheaper to just give it to them, for responsible recycling, than to pay them to repair it.
You might want to try detaching the monitor and trying it on another computer unit to see if the problem still exists. If it only occurs on your unit, then try updating the drivers on your system and see if that solves it.
how is ur sound output from the computer box is conencted....is there an external speaker thru which u listen sound ?

hi there, the pro you talked to may be wrong in the first place as viruses tend to damage software programs(such as windows) and not hardware(such as your monitor) the problem maybe a different one, i am afrais you will ahve to see a tech about it...
Your inverter board is bad. They run anywhere from $30 - $80. They are very easy to replace. I have had this problem with three monitors and replacing the inverter board fixed the problem. Hard to say where you will find the part. Just do a search for 'inverter board' with your model # on any search engine.

We have a kit with all of the parts and directions available for $15.00 plus $2.00 shipping. Let me know if anyone needs the kit. firstname.lastname@example.org We can also do the repair for youif you are not confortaqble with disassembly of the ac power unit.
