My adobe will not run, read, do anything. I have uninstalled, intalled, repaired, removed the printer....no luck.

It may well be an Adobe problem. Try downloading the current version. I don't think it's a printer problem. The key was your comment that adobe will not run. You should be able to view the file even without the printer being turned on.
