I have an HP 1210v all in one printer. I downloaded the driver for the MAC Os X system. Now I want to scan a document and can't find the icon to initiate the scan. When I push "scan" button on the printer unit, nothing happens on my computer.

Go to your applications folder there should be a folder called Hewlett-Packard within it there should be all the utilities to scan including HP Photosmart Studio and HP Scan Pro. Hope this helps. Failing that if it is not there you may need to download the software from the HP website
