Question about Goodman PHKJ048-1 Air Conditioner
When it rains water gets into compartment where the blower moter is. water staying on floor of unit is causing mold to form and bad smells. Was unit installed incorrectly? Water seems to come from under blower motor. The coils are clean!
3 places where water could be coming from, The Ground, The venting system or the Condensate. Eliminate each one by first checking the condensate piping and check to make sure it is draining to the drain. Blow thru all hoses to make sure they are not blocked. Secondly, spray with a garden hose the venting system to see if the water is entering the system thru the venting. Lastly, if this happens only when it rains, you could have a ground water drainage issue.
