The only way to reset this to english is by performing a Hard Reset. It will remove all information on the phone BUT after it reformats it gives you the option to select English or Spanish.
The hard reset is performed by following the instructions below:
Press and hold down the red phone key on the right side of the Treo 650 keyboard until the Palm screen appears. This will begin the hard reset. Let go of the red phone button when you see the Palm screen. Read the screen prompt carefully. It will ask you to press the up arrow key to proceed with the hard reset or the down arrow key to abort. Press the up arrow to continue with the hard reset. Wait for the phone to reboot. When it comes back on, it will ask you to select a language and walk you through the same introductory screens you saw when you first got the phone.
That should solve your problem! Hope this helps!
Not to my knowledge. The phone will have to be disassembled and the keypad will have to be cleaned. To do so you will need a T6 torx driver and a small flat head screwdriver. remove the 2 screws from the upper section on the back of the phone. Next you will need to remove the lower cover which can be gently removed with a flat head screwdriver ( this is the lower section with the carrier name on it that goes from the bottom of the battery door to bottom of the keyboard). This will reveal 2 more screws. Remove them. Now the halves are only held together by some clips down the sides. Peal off the key mat, clean the domes and contacts and reassemble.
Hi i am not 100% sure but have you been noticing any battery life issues yet?
The red key may (Im not sure) be the default dead key which means as soon as you battery degrades the red key will stop working. This can normally be fixed via buying a new battery. I am not 100% sure tis was in the case of my old nokia but it may work on a viewty thanks.
To perform a hard reset 1. Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and the Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the lower left
2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two soft key buttons. Release them only when you see the following message on your device screen: “Press Send to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.“
open the front key face by placing a card on the side of the phone. careful not to poke it harder as there are some chips inside the front slide. once it is open, clean it or try to adjust the keypad face then place it back. If problem still exist, bring it to the mobile center for repair.
1. Make sure you have at least 3/4 charge of battery power left. 2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card. 3. Switch-off your 6600 phone. 4. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * (star key) & no. 3 key and then press the power on/off to swtich on the 6600 phone.
Remember, do not let go all of the keys and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show!
5. After a few minutes when the Full phone formatting completed, your 6600 will back to original system and factory settting.
All apps installed & not of the phones' default will be lost. If you did a backup on your mmc, you can restore it back to the C drive again.
oops......sounds like the glue failed. take it into a store, show them the glue failed and that it would be a manufactuers deftect.....depending on the rep that will help you in the store or over the phone depends on wheather or not they do an exchange.....the thing is, this is tricky......the reason why tmobile will not help, is because the phone is in more then one peice, so in that case technically it voids the warrenty....
my friends bf had the same problem, and he was able to get an exchange out of it....so again. it depends on whom you speak with.....
