Re: Top screen looks like it has interferance

I'd suggest bringing it back to the retailer to exchange it for a new one.

Nintendo ds top screen not working

The top screen has failed and the card slot has died they both can be repaired but it will cost a little bit or the other alternative is that you purchase the screen and card slot and repair yourself but this is not an easy feat as they are very easily destroyed to beyond repair I know this personally as I tried to fix my own when this happened and killed it completely to the point I has to buy a new one. The cost of the repairs will be far less than a brand new one that is for sure. I hope this helps.

Cannot write/draw on bottom screen

There is a touch screen which is on top of the LCD screen. You can indeed buy a replacement touch screen, quite cheaply too. Check eBay.

Nintendo touch screen

Have you dropped the DS? It could be that the ribbon cable on the bottom LCD has come adrift.
Does the top screen display the Nintendo logo when switched on?

Nintendo DS bottom display screen

Hi I have a problem with my bottom screen as well. I was replacing the case as the hinge was broken. When i was putting it back together i noticed a slight tear in the ribbon cable which is attached to the board and the bottom screen.
When I turned it on I found I had poor colour and contrast in the bottom screen however the top screen was fine.
Where this ribbon cable is attached to the board there is two small cables attached to the board beneath it, maybe one of these has come away and needs repositioning or your bottom screen needs replacing.Try this site for diy tips

Put in new top screen, now bottom touch screen unresponsive

I know you replaced both top and bottom, and I am assuming that you placed the touch screen as well? it would be the touchscreen that is not working or you did not connect right. connie
