Do you have the music files in the PSP music folder. If not, it will not read that there are any files there. Do you have the latest update? If so, under the system settings, there is an option that says, Enable WMA playback. Turn this on. If this doesn't help, you can either get the same music in MP3 format, as the PSP system has no problem with, or transcode said WMA files into MP3 format. There are many programs you can get to do this, but the simplest way is to use any multimedia player on your PC and rip said music files in MP3 format, as they will allow for said selection, then move them to the Music folder on your PSP memory stick.
You need a memory stick duo to play music on your PSP, when you insert the MS duo into the PSP, make sure you got the settings menu and format the MS duo. that way, when you plug the PSP into the PC, it willl already have the neccesary folders to put your music in
Yes you can play wma files on psp but you have to change a setting first. 1.Go to settings then scroll down to system settings. 2.Hit x then scroll down to enable wma playback then hit x again. 3.Follow steps then download music to music folder on psp.
If you're talking about the music player then it should be easy to use. But getting online is the gprs i believe. It's either the account or the connection. But i will see what is going on with your psp. i have 2 psp myself. I will try to get to you when i find a solution!
try enabling wma playback in thesettings menu. but if you dont have internet, try buying the "media manager" at a video game store for your computer once you download it it acts as a media player and a syncronizer for your psp.
According to PSP system software update 2.60 allow the PSP to be able to play WMA files. So if you have all the latest system file updates on your PSP, you should be able to play WMA files. However here is the link I found to be very helpful.
what ever you do, DO NOT RESET SETTINGS cause then you just have to reset them and it wont do you any good. I had the same problem. The most lodgicall way to solve this is just to spend like 3 bucks at mcdonalds and get the wifi so you can play online multiplayer, go on the internet, and fix the wma feature. Or you could just free load off of a friends wifi or wirless setup. But you may have to enter a security code.
