Question about Xerox Phaser 7300DN Laser Printer

1 Answer

Will not print multiple collated two sided publications without individually sending each job

Our Phaser 7300 will not put our print jobs in the correct order unless we send the print requests to the machine individually. For example, if I want to print 10 copies of a 15 page document, I have to send 10 print requests to the printer for one copy each because if I send one request that calls for 10 copies there will be ten page one's on top of ten page two's and so on. We then have to go back and put the documents in order. How can we get our machine to collate with one request? Help please!

I would try changing the driver you are using. There are multiple drivers and it really sounds like that will resolve your problem.
For the drivers go to Xerox.com.
on the tool bar select Support and Drivers.
Then enter your printer number, being phaser enter phaser 7300 in the search .
Select your operating system and there will be PS and PCL drivers.
I am 99.9 percent sure the issue is in the driver.

Xerox 7300 print is pixilated

This depends on what you are trying to print and with what software. Most likely, you need to choose a higher print resolution in the software before sending to the printer, but more details would be required to give a precise response.

I have a phaser 7300 that asks for a transfer unit about every 3 weeks. It prints good until it asks for unit and then it will not print until I install a new one. I am ready to install the 4th unit but...

I think you might have a Spring missing for the Waste Toner Full Sensor. The machine tolerates the sensor status for 2K pages and then shuts it down.

Truthfully, it is really hard to describe in a few sentences. It belongs in the frame wall under near where you have the white waste toner section of the Transfer Belt. This spring pushes a flag up that hits the Paper Entrance Sensor (yes, near the bypass tray)

The PN for the spring is 116-2050-00.

Hi, my name is Gabriel and I have the Xerox Phaser 4510, I would like to know how to print one page for both sides? Thank you

There ia a duplex unit that you could buy and attach to the machine.
Alternatively when you select "Print"
Select the option to print pages in the range "odd pages
When the job is finished place the printed documents in the manual paper feed and select "Print" again and the option to print all the even pages.
You will also have to check a box to print pages in reverse order or vice versa depending on the order the first batch were printed.
A bit of trial and error might be required before you get the correct solution. Hope this helps??

False reading of toner cart status

Sounds to me like you actually have the wrong part number. There are more than one cartridge for the Xerox printers, They have different chips on them. One is for billable accounts, one or more than one for accounts that pay for prints. There also was as i remember a spring type clip they left off some cartridges.
So with what you have tried and the old cartridges work fine, strongly suspect bad carridges.

Printing on CD labels seem to ruin fuser in Phaser 7300

Probably the labels have a slight plastic fiber or coating in them and is getting a coating on the heat roller.
Here are part numbers of the correct CD labels you can run without a problem.

My Phaser won't print, even though other machines on the network are fine?

I will start not knowing what you have already done but, here goes.
Start first by looking at the port on the printer where your ethernet cable is connected. Look for the green power light, see if its illuminated. Then look at the data light to see if its flashing.
It it is not, check the port and the cable running to the machine.
Have you plugged another printer or device in to the same port that the printer is on to check its functionality? Can you enter the IP address into your Browser, and pull up the printers properities on the browser.
The other thought is that the settings were on Auto in DHCP and the machine changed IP addresses. Do you have a saved configuration page on the machine that tells you what IP address was assigned to the machine? If so, print another Configuration page and compare IP addresses. If you have to reset. Set IP to Manual. And set a static IP address.
Either a dead port or an addressing problem seems most likely.
It's far less likely, although possible that one of the machines boards are bad. Or a hard drive has failed internally. But most of the time when that happens, the machine senses it and gives a fault code indicating what network problem has occured.
You can also check the job status button, see if there is a job hung up as a held for resources, if someone sent a print job with the wrong paper size ot type selected it may be backing up the printer waiting for that specific media to be loaded. Once you delete that job, It will print previous jobs.
Supplies are a possibility, but you should see a message to replace whatever item is low or out.
I do suspect, one of the first 2 issues, a dead port due to the port or cable, or an address change on the machine. That really sounds like the most likely issue
