If the Sylvania tv is a CRT (old style tube tv) you can just use an RCA cable and hook it into the composite video. It will be the cable that has a red, white and yellow connectors on it. The yellow is the video, the red is the right audio and the white is the left audio. Connect ones side of this cable to the output of the DVD/TAPE player and to the input on the TV side.
It should hook up like a regular VCR does. A short cable from the OUT on the back of the dvd player to the cable hookup on the back of the tv.
You can also use audio/video wires (3 wire cable). Somewhat same method...connect 3 wires to audio/video OUT of the dvd player to COMPONENT section on the back of the tv. Should be color coded to match colors on the 3 wires.
Hope this helps some. It is difficult to explain. Good luck!
Hi, I have a Sansui Model San1880, after I have manually program the TV channels, I don't get no sound at all only on the TV channels its got good pictures but no sound, would you please tell me what to do.
hook the antenna to the VCR rf conecter IN.
buy some RCA jacks and a three way deal and hook the red to sound red out ,white to sound output white,
and yellow is always video hookit to yellow vido out on the vcr/dvd. The other ends go to the inputs on the TV....same color code.
or you can just hook a cable to rf connector OUT on the vcr and other end to( it with problably just same antenna in) to TV.
first of all the the VCR has two connection from the tuner at the back one has out to tv the other has in from antenna you connect the wire from the cable company to the in from antenna.you connect another from the out to tv to the tuner connnection of your tv.and you are on.to connect the dvd to your tv.the tv has either at the front three female connector basic colors red white and yellow.the red and white is for audio in, left and right, and the yellow is for video in.the dvd has similar connections but they are output just connect them matching them color to color.there are some female connectors on the back of the dvd if you want to use surround sound.or play it through a reciever.good luck.
