SOURCE: Can't assign ip configuration to NAS 208

Run Fastora Assist, it should detect your NAS even if no IP address is assigned to the NIC(s). Make sure to connect all NIC(s).

I had to replace my router and I now cannot see the dlink enclosure. I wanted to get the IP so I can reconfigure the IP address but like I said I cannot seem to get the device to show up on my belkin...

You can try a couple of things, easy thing is to reset the NAS server by unplugging it and allowing it release its leased IP address, assuming that it is setup for DHCP. Once this is reset it should grab another IP address. If you remenber setting it up for a static IP, then you could do a google search for an IP scanner or find one that you are comfortable with download and install look for device on your network that will give you your IP to the NAS server. Good luck

I picked up a Fastora NAS-T4, but the previous owner no longer recalls the root password on the device. Is there anyway to reset the device to factory defaults? I see no 'reset' buttons available on it.

Turn off the NAS.
Press AND HOLD power button for about 30 secs.
That will force a hard reset and reset the unit to factory defaults. You will lose all data on drives that are plugged in at the moment. If they are in an ejected state, it may save your data, but I have not tried that.

My Black Armor NAS keep changing its IP address and can't be accessed most of the time on the network. Hw can i fix this

Configure your network's DHCP-server to *ALWAYS* give the *SAME* IP-address to the NAS -- use the (unique) MAC-address of the NAS's network-adapter to assign a "static" or "fixed" IP-address to the NAS.

Fastora NAS-104WR

It all depends on how mission critical this NVR is, (and how much money you have to spend)

A good rule of thumb is the more redundancy the better, so in theory, if you have the money, you should buy the second NVR, however if you cant afford an entire second unit, you should look at doing hard drive backups of that unit.

If you have any more question, please let me know!

Reading T4 Device

Did you try to boot the system without all the harddisks inside (keep at least one).
This helped me to bring up the NAS-T4 up again.

There's a 9-pin serial connection on the back, can you use that connection to a terminal to see anything? Also, if you don't have access to the manual, visit this link to download the manuals:
