GM's Door Chimes Are built in to the stock radio. You need to buy a door chime relocator if it really bothers you. They Are about $30. I got one but the chime it came with was loud and annoying, so i cut the wire to the tiny speaker the relocator comes with just so didnt have to hear it. So, if it really bothers you, go to your local car audio store and ask for a door chime relocator for GM vehicle, they should know what you are talking about.

I have a Pioneer DEHP6500. It came with the car we purchased. Tuner and everything was working fine until the other day. I can't change the source from CD back to tuner and none of the buttons work. All I...

It is likely that the terminals on the back of the removable facia and on the unit need cleaning with a "contact cleaner". I suffered similar problems, all gold plated contacts looked clean, but i gave them a spray over with contact cleaner anyway and it worked.

Bought used truck he took out sterio but factory

That truck has a 3 piece system:

1. The display (located by heater controls)
2. The tuner (located under dash, above and to the right of the accelerator pedal
3. The EQ on some models and tape deck on others (located in center of dash)

Radio should work with tuner and display minimum
If the tuner is gone you are better off going aftermarket

Im installing an aftermarket sterio in my 95 jeep coerokee, and none of my speakers will work... how do i bypass my factory amp so that my door speakers will work? pleeez help!!!!!!

you can do one of 2 things , run wires from each speaker to the head units speaker wires or locate an amp bypass harness from, sometimes theres a tiny amp on each speaker as well , i doubt it for the year of youre truck but it may have at least a factory amp . u need that bypass harness

Cant figure out how to turn on hd radio

Most likely, you need to buy an HD Tuner kit. I had the same problem, and after some research, found that "HD Ready" apparently means "buy more equipment". Nice...right?

No display

Check the electrical contacts on the back of the faceplate and on the front of the head unit for dirt/other damage. If nothing obvious there I would suggest sending the unit for service.

Radio unlock code

Press & hold the 2 & 3 buttons @ the same time for about 10 seconds; a 2 or 3 digit code will appear, write this # down, press & hold the am/fm button for about 10 seconds: another code will appear, write this # down, then call 1-800-537-5140 and enter 202108 followed by the * key, then enter the #'s that you wrote down from your radio followed by the * key. The call will give you a 3 or 4 digit override code. Write this code # down so you have it if you ever need it again. Enter this # into your radio following the instructions in your owners manual. If you get an override code that starts with 0, you drop the 0 when entering the code into your radio.
If you don't have an owners manual, try this, press & hold the hour button until the first 2 digits of your code come up, then press & hold the minute button until the last 2 digits show. Then press the am/fm button. This should reset your stereo.
if nothing happens you should leave your car running for 1 hour.
