Channel changing on PROSCAN 32LA25Q

We just bought this model and can select channels from the numeric keypad. However, the channel up/down buttons don't work on either the remote nor the side of the TV. The picture pauses and the current channel # appears on the top right of the screen for a moment, but nothing else happens.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem, what fixed it for me was to set auto scan to setup all the channels for me again. Another thing to check would be whether it is set up to use CATV or AIR.

Hello, I somehow made it so I can only get channel 3.0 on my Proscan TV, I need to know how to get it on either channel 3 or 4, what do I need to do in order to change the channel?

Without knowing your model t.v. and other components, it's hard to say. For instance, if you have a cable box hooked up to it, then you would have to push the "cable" button on the remote to change the channels. If you have direct t.v. it would be the "sat" button. But without knowing, it's hard to say.

Won't stay on channel. keeps reverting back to next lower channel.

Remove the batteries from the remote and see if the problem goes away, if so the remote has a bad button, that can possibly be fixed by cleaning it. Try these links:

To see if the problem is with your remote control, go to the receiver and use the channel up/down buttons on the receiver itself. If you can change your channels with the buttons on the receiver, the batteries in your remote control probably need to be changed.

If you can't change channels from the receiver, turn off the receiver. Then unplug it for at least 15 seconds. Plug the receiver back it and turn it on. Again, try changing channels from the receiver itself.

Tune to a channel, and while programming is playing, try tuning to the missing channel by entering the channel number on the remote control keypad to see if channels change. Do not try to select the channel from a channel list, program guide, or favorites list.

If this approach takes you to the correct channel, you need to adjust your favorites list function. Press the "guide" button on your remote. Look for a button on your remote called "fav" or "list." Press it several times and watch for an indication at the top of the guide that you are moving from "all channels" to a particular favorites list.

If you are locked on one channel only, your Channel Lock feature is likely active. Consult your owner's manual to unlock the rest of your channels. See your owner's manual for information on managing favorite channel lists and locking out channels. Enter your password, if necessary.

Just bought an RCL3210 TV. The odd thing is that the Channel up/down key on the remote control does not change the channel. Also, the up/down channel key on the TV itself also does not respond. When you...

You need to find how to CLEAR the auto channel settings. Sounds like the TV is set to SKIP all channels. Look for a MENU and then look for an AUTO setting that will walk through all channels and set those where you have reception as the "list" that the remote and the Up/Down buttons on the tv will choose.
PS: GREAT writeup on your problem and the things you have tried.

No user manual for CE28DN9-B. Bought TVonics

HELLO

Follow these instructions:

Select a spare channel on your TV say 6 on your remote.

Press MENU.

Scroll down and select PRESET.

Using RIGHT button of F/OK/ENTER press it and this will go to TUNING.

Press RIGHT button again which will let you go to SEMI or AUTO tuning (for your purpose select "SEMI").

Scroll DOWN to highlight the actual UHF channel number or CH:C21 as it may appear on the screen.

Press the RIGHT button again yourself manually and you will see the channel number change anywhere from 21 to 69 until you come to your freeview box's RF channel output.

When you have done that scroll down to Memory and you'll see a box beside it. Press the RIGHT button and a tick will appear in the box.

You have stored your Freeview box RF channel on your TV.

Press MENU button THREE time to come out of the MENU setting.

Use this procedure again if you wish to change the RF channel on your TVONICS box.

GOOD LUCK (:-)

Do a auto program from the menu. If the set has lost its memory from a power loss or other situation it will loss it memory of what channels you have and unless you put the channel in from the remote it will default to ch 2
