2 Answers

Remote control my remote control seems to works perfectly but my TV does not response at all. sometimes after a lot of tries works but then when you don't press a key for a minute or so it does not response again. Like it looses conection or something like that . I don't know . Do you think the infrared receiver of the TV has broke down? Or is it the remote control? Is there anything I can do by myself or do I have to take it for service? Thanks in advance

Re: remote control

Try replacing the battery in the remote. CR2025 or equivalent.

Need a code for 37bv700b for sky remote number not on sky list

Toshiba has a lot of codes to check with Sky remote. They are:

536 063 271 098 117 232 530 581 130 473 088 182 064 216 253 508

Follow the steps below

1* Select any channel on the TV.

2* Point your Sky+ remote control away from the TV and press the tv button.

3* Press and hold down the Select and red buttons simultaneously on the Sky+ remote control until the red light at the top of the Sky+ remote control flashes twice.

4* Input the 3 digit number from the Sky+ remote control codes then press the Select button. The red light at the top of the Sky+ remote control should flash twice.

5* Point the Sky+ remote control at the TV and try the volume button.

If this works try the other TV functions.

If these work then the correct code has been selected.

It's important to note that not all TV functions will be supported by the Sky+ remote control e.g. Picture in Picture.
If all functions do not work correctly, then repeat steps 1 - 3 and work through all the relevant 3 digit numbers from the Sky+ remote control codes, until you find the code which supports all or as many of the TV functions as possible.

TV LC32SB24U will not respond to the remote control. I check the remote signal using a camara cell phone by pointing the eye of the remote towards the lens of the cell phone camera. I press each button on...

Are you using a remote from a cable issued cablebox or the orginal remote? I noticed my cable company DVR remote stopped working when the OPC setting on the Picture menu of the TV was set to the 'ON' position. Once turned to the 'OFF' position it stopped the OPC feature from activating which seemed to interfere with the response of the remote for some reason.

Dynex remote sticks on channels and does not always lower volume

I think you'll find that the tv is at fault. I, unfortunately bought one of these **** things as well. If you try to turn the channel, or volume, at the tv itself, you'll find that it won't work either. Seems to happen when switching between HD and regular programming a lot, but can happen at any time. You get what you ( and I ) paid for....

Remote doesnt seem to work on all the button can it be replaced

Did you check the battery of the remote?
Remote is jamp. Take the battery out and put it back. It will help sometime.
Did you notice the light in front of the TV response to remote control whenever you press? If yes, the remote works fine - problem comes from your TV.

I have a samsung tv model # LNS2351W with a samsung remote control model # BN5900545A and I can not program it to the tv. I do not have the code or the users manual for the remote control, so I can't...

Have you been trying to set the program by manual (by TV buttons). If you can set it manually, aim the remote straight forward at the TV sensor and press then notice the light is responsed (blingking each pressing time). If it does not response, the problem may come from the sensor or remote. You need another good remote to isolate this problem. Alternatively, you can try this remote with another Samsung TV (if possible) to see how it works.

Philips TV HDMI CEC EasyLink tries to control Cable set top box

I finally found a fix to this! YAY. I thought I might have to return the TV. I have the Phillips 42PFL5603D, but should work for other models.

On the TV press menu picture settings---picture---dynamic contrast (turn off) AND active control, turn off
If you have Comcast Moto box: on the Cable box go menu--->setup--->cablebox set up---RF BYbass set to ON
If you have a non-Comcast Moto Box, I'm sure there is an RF bypass setting in the menu. You'll just have to look for it. Another fix was close saying to only turn of the active control, but it took all 3 of these for it to work consistently. The latter let it work for all of 30 seconds.

Tv. does not turn on sometimes? philips 63pf9631d/37

The TV is in some kind of protection mode, the blinking LED show you an error code.
Try pressing 062596 and then press menu button (do these in quick motion, don't let them to time out while keying)...see what happens
Well I think that if you would have a service manual for this set that would help a lot, I can send it to anyone who wants it via email/gmail. Let me know if anyone want one.

I also heard that this problem appeared with some people because the of the burnt fuse in the TV. To fix that it has to be taken to the tech shop. mecry.gif

And yes I also heard about this issue many times, seems like this TV set is very popular with this kind of problem.
