Question about Disney Mickey Digital Mix Sticks MP3 Player

System not recognizing mp3

I have tried to download music on my daughter's mp3, however when I plug it in, it says that windows doesn't recognize the device. We have Windows XP on our PC, and according to the instructions it should recognize it automatically. The cd that is sent with the mp3 to download the software says we don't need the software. Can someone please help me solve this issue?

Re: System not recognizing mp3

I had a very similar problem with a USB camcroder, drove me crazy! This sounds like a USB device not being recognized, this issue is rather uncommon with XP, it's not the player or device, unless the device is not working proplerly. 9 out of 10 times it's system device manager.

With the device plugged into the USB go to control panel and click on system and navigate to your device manager hardware>device manager, scroll down to Universal Serial Bus Controllers, there should be either an X or an exclamation mark indicating the device/driver is not loaded properly, right click on that line and chose uninstall driver, reboot then plug the device in, if it asks for a driver then put in the CD and let the driver install it. If this still does not work, then repeat the above but instead of choosing uninstall when you right click choose "update driver" and when it asks for a location to the driver, point it to the driver on the CD.

Hope this helps

How do i transfer music to my zenex mp4 player? it's brand new but the cd (driver software) it came with doesn't work.

Hi lcharlingen3...
Downloading Music to your MP3 Player

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up.

How to download music on my grand daughter's memorex mp3 player

The jWin mp3 players are completely incompatible with Windows Vista, so your new Dell may not be compatible. Jwin has discontinued their mp3 player line, so it is hard to find support. If your computer happens to be running Windows XP:

1) Find a CD, or sign up for a music service such as Rhapsody's Mp3-Only service - whichever service you pick, make sure that they give you the songs in mp3 format only, or you'll be be posting to this forum everyday.

2) Once you have downloaded the songs, you can transfer them to the jWin using Windows Media Player. If you have CD's, "Rip" them using the Rip tab in Windows Media Player, but be sure to go into the menu of Windows Media Player and change your Rip Options --> Format to "Mp3," or the Jwin won't recognize them.

Good luck!

Usb drive not recognized

try to re-install the drivers for the mp3 player...that might work...or try using other programs to download music rather than windows media player. that is not the best thing to use to get music...try something like limewire, ares or even i-tunes.

Computor doesn't recognize iriver iFP-895 mp3 player

What's your operating system?

These are the steps that helped me resolve a similar issue I had:

1) Find a computer with Windows XP (ServicePack2)
2) Intall iRiver Music Manager 3.16 from
3) Download the Firmware update for your player from to your Desktop
4) Start the Music Manager and connect your player to the computer. (The XP should recognize your player; and the Music Manager should show the "connected" status)
5) In the Music Manager, click on Tools => Upgrade Firmware, then select the file from your Desktop. NOTE: The upgrade process takes 4 -5 minutes.

After the firmware update, Windows Vista and other PC's should recognize your player.

I cant get my computer to recognize the mp3, I just want to put music on it.

if your computer recognizes the device as a valid drive (look in 'my computer' folder for it) then you should be able to reformat it. Right click on the device in my computer, click format, quick format. set to FAT format if it lets you. run the format, then disconnect the device and power it back on. it should re-boot and then try to connect again. Try using windows medai player to transfer music. or download Rhapsody and try using that.
