Re: my tv remote stopped working
Try using words to form sentences next time. Don't lose the remote; tie a scarf on it with a key-finder in it and a pesto or frosting saran pack in the battery compartment if you have to. You do. Because now, you get to go buy a universal remote and program it, or use a universal remote program on a PalmPilot, cellphone, or IrDA-equipped PC.
Alternately, you could take advantage of any automatic input priorities the TV set has which are compatible with your game cabling.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Nothing you can do without the original remote. One cannot get into the setup pages. Replacement remotes usually don't work on this point either. They are missing this special setup button. In order to watch DVD, VCR, connect them with a SCART cable. When you switch on the player, the TV will detect this and go automaticaly to this input. If connected with RCA plugs, you can choose the input with the program Up/Dwn buttons on the TV set itself, going "lower" than channel 1.
1) Set your TV to channel 3. 2) Insert a pre-recorded tape into this unit. 3) Press the OUTPUT button on the DVD/VCR so that the VCR OUTPUT light is lit. • If noise appears on the TV screen, press the VCR/TV button on the remote control. 4) Press the PLAY button once. 5) After a few seconds, press the PLAY button on the DVD/VCR for 3 seconds. • The RF output channel will change to channel 3 from channel 4 and you will see a playback picture. • When a picture does not appear on the TV screen, repeat step . 6) Press the STOP button to stop playback.
on the remote there are various button at the top to control the functions. these include tv dvd cable etc. When the remote is set on tv all the functions on the tv work together with the functions of dvd such as play stop etc.all except power channel up channel down etc. THE REMOTE MAY JUST BE SET TO DVD JUST PRESS TV AT THE TOP OF THE REMOTE OR YOU MAY NEED TO SET IT BACK AND THE PROBLEM IS FIXED!!! THE USER MANUAL SHOWS YOU HOW TO SET IT.
With cable input connected to "RF in"on rear of unit make sure vidoe input is set to "Tuner". This will show up on the TV screen. Change channels numerically or using up/down arrow keys on DVR remote. Note there is a slight pause between changing channels. You probably will have to "autoscan" for channel setup/etc. If you say your TV set is old; it probabaly is equiped with coax
connection only/set TV channel to "3" or "4". when yot opt to play vcr/dvd it will override your
cable channel selected. Hope this helps!
I'm assuming that you do not have access to the remote for the TV. If you do, you can simply press "INPUT" on the remote.
If you have no remote, try this: Press the "MENU" button on the TV. Press "CH Down" until "Channel" is highlighted, and "MENU" to select it. Press "CH Down" to highlight "List and Labels", and "MENU" to select it. Press "CH Down" to go below channel 1, you should see "FRNT" displayed. Press "MENU" to get out of the Menu system. You should now be seeing whatever is plugged into your front connectors.
Simply pressing one of the channel buttons will switch back to normal TV mode. I could find no faster way to access the front connectors without using the remote.
Hello Giancarlo, You'll have to use the projectors remote for T.V. tuning. I don't think the samsung DVD remote will operate your projector or your T.V. channels, will it? If it does, You just have to switch the input button on the remote to change between T.V. and Video. I hope that helps.
I can view channels but cannot view a DVD from the TV/DVD Disney Princess Combo. Only see static on the screen with no sound. I wonder if I need to change the input select to view a movie but cannot find a button on the TV or remote control. I have a 6 button remote which I am sure operates the DVD and another remote with 39 buttons I thought would operate the player as well as the TV. However, so far only the player functions from it. The buttons only have small pictures without words which sometimes leaves some question about purpose. This is a second hand unit. I do not have a manual. It did play movies at first. I think the trouble may have started when I programed cable channels. Any help will be greatly appreciated
There are a few things that can cause this. #1 most often cause is
either something spilled on the channel button or something wrong with
the bezel where the buttons are located causing the button to be
pressed all the time. Check the buttons on the tv and make sure none of
them are stuck. #2 is a bad button (switch). Replace the switch or the
control board. #3 is a short on the wiring harness going from the
switch to the mian board. Maybe it's squished against the frame
somewhere. #4 would be a bad main board. You will likely have to take
this unit to a service centre to have it looked at.
Your in the video mode so you have to change the input. On the original remote, its the button left of the power button. A universal may not work for this. If you need the original remote, Its available at http://www.remotes.com Good Luck
