Question about Televison & Video
I also have a Jumbo remote (the one with the coloured buttons on) and what a load of rubbish it is. The instructions are quite simply wrong!!! To pre-load a code press the device button you want (E.G. TV) and then press and hold the SET key until it is constantly RED. Then enter the 4 digit code you want and then press the OK key (despite what the instructions say this is the way to program the code).
To perform a SEARCH forget the instructins and follow these.. first press the device key you want (E.G. TV) and then press and hold the SET key until it is constantly RED. Then press the POWER OFF key and sit back and the remote will cycle through the various (and limited) codes it has, each time a code is tried out the RED LED light will blink a couple of times.
WHEN AND IF your device turns off (presuming it was switched on) then press the OK key to store the code.
To find out what code a device has stored against it press the device key you want and with it pressed down press the 1 key to find out the first digit, the 2 key to find out the 2nd digit etc.
In summary, the jumbo is a good gag, but is not practical, not useful, not easy to use, not supported and in general quite rubbish.
