My Sony Walkman NWZ-A818 wont switch off Connecting to the PC I can see the device in explorer and delet items but the device is in limbo in that I cant switch it off from the welcome screen

To turn the portable player ON, with the HOLD switch in the OFF position, press any button. To turn the portable player OFF, press and hold the OPTION/PWR OFF button. The player will enter the STANDBY mode and the screen will turn OFF to save battery power. If the standby mode continues for approximately one day or more, the player will automatically turn OFF completely.
If the Player still doesn't turn OFF, Reset the Player by pressing the RESET button on the Player using a Sharp pointed object for 3 seconds. The RESET button is located next to the STRAP hole. The RESET button is a small hole.
I hope you find this information useful.
Thanks and Regards,

How do I get My e260 in recovery mode, it wont even come on?

1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power/Menu button. 3. Press the Power/Menu button again to turn on the player. I do not think your model supports the recovery mode but you can try. 1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for 15 seconds to turn the device completely off. 2. Slide the Hold switch so the orange portion shows. 3. On your PC, double-click My computer 4. On your Sansa player, press and hold the REC button while connecting it to the PC. 5. Release the REC button when a 16MB-FORMAT drive partition appears under My Computer. This may not work on your player not sure of the Model cut off.

I have an element mp3 player and i don't know how to turn it on or off i am way new with this whole thing and i really need help please help me.

Hey, I just got one of these as well. They're kind of.... not the best ;) .

Anyway, to turn it on, press and hold the large circle button (play) until the element screen comes on. Then press the "mode" button to get to music. Remember that there are only the "mode" button/switch and the "play" button to switch functions. The other two buttons don't do much.

After a mode is selcted by moving the mode slider switch left or right then depress that same mode slider switch like a button. When the mode switch is used to change a mode but one does not press it in to select it, that is when the play button changes colors.

Sansa e280 Main Image Wont Load Problem, Plus firmware updater doesn't work

Do not worry! I had the same problem as you before and got it fixed perfectly! Go to this thread and read the instructions carefully.

Note that doing this will delete all files in your player, so I recommend you to save your files somewhere before doing this.

Hardware wont install

I had the same problem with my e260 4GB player. To upgrade the firmware to enable setting USB mode to MSC, try the following;

1. Slide the hold switch to the locked position by sliding switch at the top of the player towards the headphone jack until you see the orange indicator.
2. Press and hold the << (rewind) button.
3. With the << button held down, connect the player to the PC.

Once I did this, the firmware was upgrade, the USB Mode command was available in the Settings. I switch to MSC, plugged in the player again, and now Windows recognozes it.
