Re: e 76

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there is no quick fix for this issue.

You have basically 2 options.

1.  Crack open you 360 and check reseat the card or
replace the ethernet card...easy to do and
the part is available online but cracking the box will void any
warranty you have left so unless you are out of warranty
I don't recommend doing this.

2.  Send it back to  Microsoft for repair.  If it is under warranty they will repair it for free (just the cost of shipping and handling).  If it is not under warranty they will generally repair it for 99.00.

How to set up an Ethernet channel?

Hi Jeff,

I personally do not know how to set up an ethernet channel. However, this website that can be found by clicking this link seems to have a good grasp on the situation.

Hope that helps!

My xbox 360 says error 76 and dont know what to do.

Error code 76 is a problem with the Ethernet controller chip problems or something else involving the Ethernet chip. If your Xbox is still under warranty send it in and get it repaired. If your warranty has ended then there is nothing stopping you from replacing it yourself. If you search around there should be some step by step guides to show you how. If the xbox is working fine otherwise...just let it go and play on.

How to fix an e 73 error

Unfortunately the Xbox 360 Elite E73 Error translates as this:

I/O Hardware Error - Couldn't calibrate HSIO Bus from edram: this error is likely caused by a problem with the Ethernet port or supporting control devices

Basically, you have a hardware problem with the Ethernet (internet) port on the back of the console. You should send it in to Microsoft to get it repaired.

E 76

Just try searching RROD in google and you'll find exactly wat you need to fix this problem, best of all most can be downloaded for free and u will only need a set of small screw drivers and torx bits and the repair kit from ebay will cost you between £2 and £3.

Xbox 360 ethernet port -not working usb??

no the xbox doesnt work with the usb to ethernet adapter. i thought it would work also. and it turns out it does. this would be because you have to install the device drive for it to work, and you cant do this on your xbox. but radioshack sells ethernet ports for about $6 if you know how to switch them out.

Xbox 360 system error E 76

I got it when it was thunder when a flash hitted our house or something. My power connector was unplugged but the internetwire was plugged in the Xbox 360. So probably it´s a Network card wrong...

Im going to call my shop tomorrow and hopeful i´m going to get a new one on warranty :)
