External DVD rewriter with trapped disk

I have an LG GSA-2164D external DVD rewriter. I was watching a DVD and it has just died on me. I've switched it off and on both by the switch and the plug, I have changed the fuse in the plug. Not even the green 'boot' light will come on. Can anyone help? Even if its just to describe how to get my disk out.
