Question about Crock Pots & Slow Cookers
I have a 24 year old 3 1/2 quart crock pot that won't heat anymore, it's probaly the switch as it works once in a while. Is there any way to replace it without destroying the crock pot?
With the insert taken out there must be a screw and nut to remove. once out look at the wiring connections with the base plate out. if you have a meter set it on the RX1 range and "ring out" the element. if it is good the needle will swing full scale or at a value near the high end. check for continuity through the switch with the same setting.
