Re: Crockpot won't heat
With the insert taken out there must be a screw and nut to remove. once out look at the wiring connections with the base plate out. if you have a meter set it on the RX1 range and "ring out" the element. if it is good the needle will swing full scale or at a value near the high end. check for continuity through the switch with the same setting.

I have a new Rival crock pot, I got for a christmas gift, after using it only about 4 times it does not heat. How do I get warrenty?
