I have a packard bell netbook windows7 that have french langauge. how can i change french to english?

You have to reinstall the operating system of your computer and use an English installer. Make sure to click on English as your operating system's language. That option can be found in the very beginning of the installation process.

I hope this helps,

My friend has an Acer laptop and when he put in the language he saw Canada listed and set his computer up in the French Language. Now he is Inuit and can only speak and read Inuktitut or English. How can...

Go to Google Translate and use it to translate from French to English. It is a translating application you can use to read the French setup on the computer. You'll need another computer to do the translation.

How to make french accents marks on a laptop that doesn't have a number pad

You need to tell windows it has a french keyboard:

In the control panel, go to regional and language options.
Go to the keyboards and languages tab, click change keyboards. On the window that pops up, click on the general tab. You probably have just the us keyboard installed. Click add, then choose either english-canada or french-france, then click to add the french keyboard. Click preview to see where the accent keys will be (so you can find them). Now, select the french keyboard and click 'move up' so the french keyboard is above the us english one.

Hope this helps. Post a comment if you get stuck.

Chose Canadin French instead of Canadian English by accident

Yes you are right: it is a one time option. You can however install other languages. You will switch from the Canadian French keyboard to the US or English Canadian keyboard by pressing Shift Alt. You will console yourself if I told you that I type mainly in French, but the physical keyboard is US and I cannot even use the Alt + Ascii code to put the accents where due, because the laptop does not have numeric pad.

Hope it helps.

Satilite l300 keyboard french

Change your regional options to english,
US english depending where you are.
start, control panel (classic view), regional languages, keyboard and languages tab, change keyboards, click add tab, select language, click the plus sign, tick the keyboard box,
( you can have more than one )
The one at the top is the primary language set.
So, set main language at top, all others under.

To select the language bar on screen, so you can swtch between them,
go to, regional languages again, keyboards and languages, change keyboard, langage bar tab, in here is a few settings for you to put on taskbar,

Hope this helps

Changing language

You cant change your language on your laptop true control panel, you need to reformat your laptop in the English language. the options in control panel is just for your regional settings and keyboard settings and so on.

only OS that you can change language in is the Vista Ultimate and then you need to install a language pack.
