MP140 can't recognise the black cartridge that I've just installed. Error code 4 - any ideas? I've tried the manual - nothing, and not much luck online - Thanks
Error code 4 normally indicates that there is no unk, and the solution is by installing a genuine cartridge, Try to use Black PG40 remanufactured Canon printer ink
cartridge. This cartridge is a high capacity cartridge which has been
filled with 23ml of ink compared with the 16ml (Black) that you get
with the originals. Compatible with: Canon Pixma MP140. if this error still occur it is better that you try the following procedure below:-
When you insert a refilled ink cartridge into your Pixma MP140 printer
you should get a warning about the refilled cartridge. You should also
be prompted, asking if you wish to disable ink level detecting. Agree
to do so, and you won’t get the warnings again because the ink levels
won’t be monitored by the printer.
