Problem for Dell Latitude D600 PC Notebook

My Dell laptop's battery charging circuit faulty.

My Dell laptop's battery used to work properly and charge and show a green light flashing while charging. Now I can't get the battery to charge and when it is plugged in I am seeing the charge light flash orange quickly 4 times, followed 1 longer green light flash.

- Thank you, I have tried all mentioned and got a new battery from RSA but still the charging circuit will not take any notice of the new battery. I still can't get the battery to charge and when it is plugged in I am seeing the charge light flash orange quickly 4 times, followed 1 longer green light flash; same as before. try to remove your batt and check if laptop works fine with ac adapter alone.

if yes then put batt in then check how much charge you have if you have about 10% then update the bios immediately.

if fails then have the batt replaced.
