The phone is asking me for the PUK code and it is stuck on PUK lock.

Dear, PUK code is not personally asked by your phone, it is asked by your sim card.
you must have putted a wrong PIN code 3 times, thats why your sim gets lock temporarly, but now if you enter a wrong PUK CODE 10 times, then your sim may gets locked for parmanently.
but, you can get your PUK code easily by just calling your sim's helpline number.
they will surely provivd you your PUK CODE.

You have entered the wrong SIM password so it is locked. You can unlock it easily. You have to call your network service provider and ask for PUK code. They can ask you SIM no. which is printed at the back of SIM card.
Then you can enter the PUK code and use the phone again.

if its the PUK code you need contact your customer service...they are the only ones that have it. as far a setting up a pin you shouldnt have to but if its asking for one most all phones default phone lock code is 1111 but the phones sercurity default lock code is 0000 once you have the PUK code and have entered it....try the 1111 first then it will have you enter it again if that dont work try the 0000 If the incorrect lock code is entered more than 3 times the phone will display "ENTER PUK". just enter the PUK code again

call idea customer care by any other idea user and ask for your puk code by telling them the numbers on the other side of your sim card and your sim contact number............

i thing u hav puk locked your phone.

call your service provider helpline.

they will ask you for your sim card serial no. it is written on back of the card. and then they will give you the PUK code.

dont mess with PUK code otherwise getting it wrong for 10 times would result your SIM CARD blocked!
