Question about Nintendo Wii Console

1 Answer

Wii drive noisey,

My wii drive has started to make a lot more noise than it used to. Also it seems to vibrate quite a bit. All of the games still seem to work okay.--Is this anything to worry about?

Only thing that might help is to get it checked out.

Wii takes a long time to load up and pauses inbetween games and makes quite a bit of noise when loading

When the power flashed, the power may have surged and overloaded the Wii and fried something inside. Get a professional to check the fuses and the power cord input, and if he can't find anything, then get a refund or exchange. That is if your warranty is still valid.

Since Christmas we have had trouble with the wii not reading most disks we try to put in. It seems to have started when we tried to update it, use it via internet? May have erased channels? The photo...

The first step is to check the disc. If you are sure this is not a problem with the game disc, then this is usually a problem with either the laser inside of the Wii's drive, or some other issue going on inside of the DVD drive. The following website sells the DVD drive mechanisms and does repairs on the Wii as well:

Wii makes a horrible noise while loading or ejecting the disc

Hello my name is Tim Ehrhart, I repair 360's and have had this problem with them and there problem is that the magnet that holds the disk in place gets stuck and makes a grinding noise that sounds horrid. Please leave feedback as I am new and trying to build a great rep. Thank You.

Wii will play gamecube games but not wii games

I heard something on youtube about that. It seems that the disc is hitting on the case so you would have to take it apart and fix it.

Noisy wii console

Hi Sky606, have you tried cleaning the game disk? Have you tried using other game disks in the wii to make sure it's not just one disk that is causing the problem. Do you have a Nintendo Wii CD / DVD Discs and Lens Auto Cleaning System ? If you don't you might want to purchase one and see if that helps, because your wii lens might need cleaning ! If all of that fails, your wii may need repairs, the lens that reads the CD/DVD could need adjustment or replacement ! One other small note,I always have a small external fan blowing on my wii when in use so that the wii wont over heat. Heat kills electronics ! I Hope this advice helps.
