How can i block intruder?

If the Wireless device isn't secured, Secure it. Set up a SSID and Security Key(password). If it is secured, change the Security Key(password), Use the Linksys Setup Manual found here: http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT120N Always Secure your Wireless. If unsecure your signal, at best, COULD be use by anyone to connect to the web using your resources and slowing down your activity. At worst, use your signal for nefarious purposes causing you a great deal of Pain and Heartache, and MAYBE the FBI knocking at your door.

I bought an Amazon "Kindle" Wi-Fi reading device

Hi,

I do not recommend that you use WEP for security as this is no longer a secure method for wireless network.

Setting up a wireless network can be a bit tricky at times, but if you follow this step by step guide for Linksys routers, you will have your wireless network up and secure in no time.
It will walk you through resetting the wireless router and quickly setting up a securing your network.

I have a router that I bought about 5 years ago and I am trying to figure out how to change my wireless network connection from unsecured to secured? I tried reinstalling the disc but something is wrong...

Go to Linksys.com and get the directions from there. After you get them, remember to set system name to unique name, set wireless security, change channel to 11 to free up wireless land line interference. And change router password. Tape this info to the bottom of the router.

I bought Linksys El000 How do I connect to X Box?

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router. You will needthe name of your wireless network ( SSID) and the wireless network key or passphrase.
You are using E1000 router. This is new series of routers from Linksys.
If you are using the security type WPA/WPA2 mixed then use only the WPA personal and TKIP.
now go to X-box and try to connect to the wireless.
