Wireless router's wireless side is not working. It can find internet but wireless light never lights up and doesnt work. and I am on internet connection now so that is not the problem.

If your modem do not show any light even after resetting it, its obvious that the modem has gone bad. But try connecting the modem in a direct wall outlet to make sure that there is no problem with the socket.

save to hard drive >> desktop and read the "troubleshooting Tips " section page 3-8
check your router connections >> Ethernet cord to the LAN port in the back or the router to the computer.
Ethernet cord to the WAN Port from the DSL port

When there is limited connectivity check if the laptop gets an IP address from the router. ELse try configuring it manually. Restart the laptop if necessary.

If you have reset and doesnt work, one last chance would be to update the firmware of the router. Else,you probably have a defective router.

there is a small button kind in a hole in the back side of router...press it with pin for a while while its on.....as all lights blink together release the button...it will be reset to factory default.....do reply if it works thanks

If no wan light bypass the dlink router and check if ethernet cable connected to wan port is working. Once you are able to go online through modem connect cable to WAN if light does not go on log into oruter and clone mac address and save settings.If doesnt work powercycle router and turn modem on first then router next if doesnt work upload latest firmware.

Check to see if you can see other computers within the network. If you can then its not the router that is the problem but could be your isp.

First thing is to do a hard reset. Use a small toothpick to press the button on the back of the router. Be equipped with your username and log on of your ISP provider then go thorugh the wizard of setting your router up again. IF this doesnt solve your problem then follow the steps below.

1. go to run cmd then ping 127.1.1.1 this will test if ur tcp/ip is working. If it is then go to step 2.

2. ipconfig /all this will help you find your ip address that has been assigned your computer.

3. ping the router probably 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 this will show that u can reach your router.

If all above tests work then its more than likely your ISP so give them a call.
