How to reboot a toshiba

I didn't know windows 7 had a CD to reinstall the operating system.
From what I know, the hard drive on your laptop should have two partitions, one of which is the operating system for windows 7 and the other partition is for your data.
From what I can remember, once you switch on your laptop, press either F12 or F2 or Esc to go to system sittings, I think that's where you wanna be.

Hi, I have Toshiba Satellite A305 S6905 model.

It is more on a hardware issue. The battery needs to be drained. Once on, let the battery drain and re charge it for 4 hours.

How to change RTC battery of Toshiba Satellite 1410

RTC battery is located underneath the palmrest - to the left of the touchpad - they don't usually die, as they are Lion rechargeables. Unless your Satellite 1410 is losing date and time every time it is turned off, you probably don't need to replace it. But if you need to replace it, make darn sure that you replace it with a rechargeable and nothing else.

If you need to get to it, you'll need to remove the keyboard, then the square aluminum bracket above the heatsink, then get to the bottom, remove all the F6 and F26 screws, then you must make sure to disconnect the WiFi antennas. After that, the top case (including the palmrest) will unsnap from the bottom case and you'll be able to see the RTC battery.

I cant remember my master password so my computer wont start up. i dont know how it happened but when i turn it on it asks for a password before it boots up. its a toshiba satellite model number...

You can remove a BIOS password by removing the CMOS battery for about 1/2 hour. Find a manual on your system to help, if you don't know where it is.

This is a known issue with some newer Toshiba laptops. The laptop can set the BIOS password on its own and I believe it happens because of a glitch in the BIOS.

Be sure to go to the Toshiba website and get all the updates for your model, once you're back in.

Toshiba PA3362U laptop wont start up ? My son left it turned on for 10 days without my knowing. I try to start uo but the inly response is alittle flashing light at the front and that stopsafter a few...

Make sure your plugged in and the battery is charged up. Usually the laptop won't stay on for ten days because the battery needs recharging. Press the power button for about 5 seconds then try pressing the power button again to restart what happens?

Toshiba satelite A100 rejects AC... often.

Just to humor me, are you using any peripherals with your laptop when this happens, such as a wireless mouse, USB connections such as digital cameras? Try to take these away when recharging.

There seems to be 2 issues here.
1) Recharing batteries: To prepare the batteries for long-term use (I do not know how long you've had the batteries...try draining the batteries (both of them), and then recharging it to full 2x before using them without the AC Adapter. This should clear the problem.

2) AC Adapter only works every other day: When you swapped the power pack, was it with a new AC adapter, or another used one? Also, have you tried using a different outlet than the one you normally use? Let me know how this turns out.
