I hear almost as much static on my new 6 MgHz V Tech phone with built in anwering machine as I did on my old 5.8 MgHz Uniden phone. So much for the new phone-dedicated 6 MgHz spectrum.

Too much static. Moving it to another jack does not help. Changing it to another channel does not help. Having no other appliance plugged in to the outlet does not help. Help!

Have had this phone for over a year. It's worked perfectly and suddenly last week there is tons of static when I use the phone. None on the line that is corded so it's not the phone line. What is it?

I have a different panasoci phone but the same problem. It is so irritating. What can be done?

I have also had this phone for about a year and only recently started having problems. It is sharing a line with DSL; there is a noise filter on the line. I tried replacing the filter but it made no difference. I have a wifi router but powering it off does not make the static go away.

No problems for 2 months. Now I cannot hear messages left on machine because of loud static. Manufacturer says to return to retailer, retailer says says 30 day return period expired, not his problem.

same proble as Stewart76 except, I've had mine for 4 years and only recently started having problems. It is sharing a line with DSL; there is a noise filter on the line. Use it from different locations and see if it happens everywhere. That problem is commonly related to bad channel on the cell towers.

Have you moved? Is it any further away from before? We had to buy a new "digital" video monitor because we moved and our wireless router interfered. Turn your router off and see if it works.

I have a Uniden set of of phones - 5.8 GHZ. Both are making a loud static sound when you turn it on. We can hardly hear. We unplugged both sets for a while, but this did not get rid of the static sound.

• Keep the handset away from microwave ovens, computers, remote control toys, wireless microphones, alarm systems, intercoms, room monitors, fluorescent lights, and electrical appliances.
• Move to another location or turn of f the source of interference.

Telephone wiring- phone rings in once -static on line-call out works Seams to be worst after rain or great moisture. Sometimes clears up suddenky

I have the same problem. You might try taking a corded phone to the service box outside where the telephone line connects to your house. On the underneath side there is a line jack used for test purposes. Plug your phone in there to see if static is heard. If you hear no static from this test jack, but do hear static from in the house corded phones, you probably have a wiring issue inside the house. If you hear static from the outside test jack, that's the phone companies problem to fix. Hope this helps.

Static in my panasonic telephones

A possible cause for the static in your cordless phones could be dimmer switches around the area of your phone that causes static. Turn the switches completely off (not just turned down) and see if the static leaves. You can replace the dimmers with regular switches if that clears your static. If it does not, another trace for interference: you will have to take a portable radio and turn it to AM 550 mHz and tune it to the loudest crackling noise. Carry the radio around looking for the loudest static interference. Could be a loose connection in a receptacle or panel box. Any small malfunction can cause static on wireless devices.
