I have to click the addres bar twice

Can't connect to internet. But sometimes if I get lucky I can connect to internet if I click on the address bar twice or just stop and refresh.

My Yahoo messenger also keep disconnecting. And the same with MIRC.

Is this my ISP problem or my modem? Thanks for all your attention

It could be your ISP, modem or computer. i really cant say, need to know few things like the status of the lights on your modem when your connection is dropping out. you might want to call you ISP for this and ask them if there's a network outage on the server you are connected to

Wireless problem. it's conected, but limited. no internet connections. my operating system is vista

Generally you get this indication when your system has auto-assigned itself a APIPA IP addres (Automatic Private Internet Protocol Address) where the system was unable to get an IP address from the DHCP server.
To resolve, right click the wireless network connection, Click Troubleshoot Problems to Diagnose and Repair the connection

I try to contact my router with the adress 192.168.0.254 and it doesn't work. Can you help me?

Basically your Router will have a hard coded addres on your network such as 192.xxx.xxx.xxx. You can find this address in your network properties. On your computer go to:

Control Panel
Double click on Network Connections
Select your Network Adapter (Double Click)
Click on the Support Tab

Here where it says default Gateway is the address of your Router enter this address in the Browser address bar and you ahould be able to communicate with the Web GUI of your Router.

Good Luck

Windows vista not taking huwaei mt841 broadband modem.where to get vista compatable drivers

This device will not require drivers if it is connected to your computer with the Ethernet network cable.

After you have connected it to your computer and turned the device on, simply open up your Internet browser and type in its IP address into your address bar.

Typical IP addresses are:
  • 192.168.1.1
  • 192.168.1.254
  • 192.168.0.1
  • 192.168.0.254
You may have to consult the manual for the exact addres or trial and error. You should see a router configuration page. That's where you can customise its settings. The settings page will look like this.

If you're asking that you can't connect to the Internet with this router, well, that's a slightly different question :-)

Hope this helps!

Can't connect

It will be one of two things or both - either your computer is notsetup for DHCP or your router is using the same IP address as your ISPor both.

To check ISP IP address connect your computer to your modem then: from start => run => CMD (hit enter after this)
a command window opens, type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes.
The line with "IP address" gives you your ISP IP addr.
Compare this with what you get from your router manual if they are the same then do the following:

Toconfigure your computer to use a DHCP IP address, go to the Controlpanel => network connections => Properties (right click on yourdefault connection) => double click Internet protocol (From generaltab) => (a new window pops up) from the general tab ensure that"obtain an IP address automatically" is selected.

To change the IP address of your router check your manual and do the following:
IP Addr => 10.10.1.1
Sub net mask => 255.255.0.0
Default gateway => IP address from your ISP
Make sure to the router is set to act as a DHCP server.

You should be up and running.
