When one light from the four lights ring itself changes from green to red, it means that a general hardware failure has occurred or is imminent. the problem is not in the hardrive itself, but its that the hardware scaler chip is damaged. now, microsoft is giving a full refund to people owning units with this error or so i hear. so you can rebuy a new unit payed by microsoft and your problem is solved

It is because The hard drive is spoil if u remove the Hard drive and blow to the hard drive the red light will not come

you have the three rings of death. im surprised you dont know what this is. common to all microsoft xbox users.its a hardrive failure which happens after overheating and long gameplay and etc. 3 out of the 4 rings light up and blink. the only solution to this is to send it in to microsoft and theyll fix it for you. free if you have warranty but if u dnt then idk. keep on pressing the power button because in some cases after a while it comes green.
