Question about Motorola Mobility L6 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Motorola L6 erratic ability to turn on

Phone will only turn on intermittently, then sometimes turns itself off for no obvious reason. Has been unused approx 5 months due to loss of battery charger but new charger bought and battery now fully charged. Worked fine until period of non-use.

Thanks very much indeed. The phone has started working OK again now, but will keep your advice in mind for when it happens again! The fact that we haven't had to try the advice is the only reason not to give the full rating.

You need to take the phone to a mobile service center and have them reflash the firmware on the phone and that will correct the problem

How to start internet in PC using MOTOROLA L6.I have dongal.

download the Motorola L6 modem driver here.
After you download the driver, make sure extract it somewhere in your computer since I packed it in a ZIP file. Connect your Motorola L6 phone by using a USB cable until the system tray shows you the pop-up message “Found Motorola L6 Modem”. You’ll meet the “Add New Hardware Wizard” dialog box then. Follow the instructions until you told to specify an exact location for the corresponding hardware, which is your Motorola L6 phone.
When your files are located, a dialog box will warn you whether to stop or continue the installation since the driver hasn’t digitally signed by Windows. Click “Continue Anyway”, Windows will start to copy the driver files into a specific location. As the process finished, your Motorola L6 phone will automatically turn its mode to Loud and start charging the battery.
That’s all. Next thing you should do is set up your internet connection through Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections. Get yourself to the Files menu and choose New connection.. You’ll be guided with a step by step New Connection Wizard.

I own a nissan maxima 1997 , there is a problem, there is somthng killing my batterie , i checked all teh lights there is noone of them that stay on, my alternator seems to be cahrging good but i found...

The battery should never be disconnected while the motor is running - this can cause excessive voltages to appear on the alternator output.
That in turn could cause destruction of any electronic module on the vehicle, including damage to the alternator itself.
Assuming the electrical system has not been damaged, the cause of your discharge problem is most likely a current drain on the battery when the vehicle is unused.
Check for a drain current from the battery while the vehicle is standing with engine and all electrical system turned OFF -
[ while in this condition, if you don't have a current meter, temporarily connect a small bulb (6-12W) in series with the main battery ground cable - lamp glow indicates current drain - remove fuses, disconnect items to identify current drain],

Also check alterator output voltage (measured across the battery terminals) is approx 14.5V when engine is running and electric system is loaded with headlights or blower fan on.
