Question about Computers & Internet
I have an optima centoris v662. The inbuilt memory card reader (PCI Flash Memory as Vista calls it) is showing no drivers installed for this device. I have no motherboard drivers disk and no site or peer to peer program has been of any support. To top it off im not sure if Optima is a manufacturer or a label. Please help.
I found all the drivers Intel 945 chip set, Broadcom Gigabit NIC, download a program called unknown drivers or devices comes as free ware. On HBCD 13 ISO. Some drivers were on a disk called 100,000 drivers for WIN XP selling on eBAY. (Do not buy the Vista or Win 7 drivers disk as it has issues and does not work with win XP it dies not even work with Vista on a HP core 2 duo lap top.) There are programs that scan for your unknown drivers trial or free ware for personal use that may help. Good luck as Optima was based in Blacktown and have been out of business in Australia since 2007/2008. I found out there is an number for them as there is an insolvency business that has taken over their customer support. And it appears they have moved base to China. But their web site offers very little support. This was posted 19th 03 2011. I started to look into it in Jan 2011 as I have 3 Optima Contoris V662 lap tops. Still having issues with the bios password and can not find the Phoenix R01-B0J bios revision date 07/09/2007 Model: Phoenix bios 4.0 release 6.0 version 2.4 bios password crack software I tried did not work. Computers are fun. I may have to take it apart again and remove the cmos battery this time leave it out for 24hrs instead of 2.5 to 3 hrs.
But it is a nice note book, works ok with win XP sp3 and Ubuntu netbook OS V 10.10. The problem seems to be that the company that had these has set up the passwords to prevent users from making changes. And disabled the on board wireless Lan. Speaker do not work but a head set plug does. Windows installs the drivers and there are no conflicts but the W NIC does not work and can not be turned on using the button or the windows software.Fixing computers can be a lot of fun.LOL.

The answer to this issue is the card reader driver. I found it by going to http://us.acer.com/support then enter your Acer model name eg: aspire > model # eg: 5610> then make sure you enter the proper OS in the dropdown. you will also find most other drivers there as well and as of 7-17-09 its free. i attatched the link So Let me know if this helps.
