Very slow system boot up and report for Express Gate error code C800002

What the error is telling you is there is an error on trying to install Express Gate. and best to install on a USB drive. If you must install it on the hard drive. you will have to set to IDE not AHCI or RAID mode. ExpressGate has to be installed on the SATA hard disk is connected to the red SATA port. (Other color slot can not be used)

WinXp wont boot after the initial installation

See if it will boot off the XP CD.If it does I would think you have a corrupt boot sector. Installing windows again should fix it if it is.

I cannot boot windows xp

Hi praph_wicked, normal order would be, floppy drive first, CDROM second & Primary hard disk drive third.
How ever if your bios does not comply you can always press the F8 key every two seconds & that should bring up (Please select boot device). Which will look like this;

Choose the CDROM drive with the windows CD in it.
If you have just one CDROM drive, make sure the jumper on the back side of the CDROM is set to "Master". If you have two CDROM drives connected, set one as master & the other to slave.
If using an IDE cable for the two CDROM drives. The CDROM at the end of the data connector is to be set as master, the 2nd CDROM connects to the next IDE connector & Its jumper is set to slave.

Good luck!

Asus laptop NTLDR missing

Hi supertwins,
Once you deleted the drive C: (You have trashed the operating system.
You're Asus driver CD will not help you at this stage.
Did you receive a restore CD? If yes you load that into the CDROM drive & boot to the CDROM.
(You do not have a restore CD)?
Than you are left with the Windows CD. Load the windows CD into the CD-ROM drive. Power up the notebook. Start pressing the F8 key on the keyboard. Soon you will see a screen that says: Please select boot device: Choose the CD-ROM drive that has the windows CD in it. High light the CDROM & press enter key. Windows should start to load. Follow the instructions on you're screen & install windows. During the install windows will restart & you will see: to load from CD press any key... (DO NOT TOUCH anything! Allow windows to continue all by it's self.
This same screen will come up at lease twice. (Just let it go).
When windows has finished you can than remove the windows CD & load the Asus CD into the notebook. Install all the software on the Asus CD. When finished installing the software from Asus, update windows through windows update service.
Good Luck!

MSI K8TNeo2-F v2.0

This is not too uncommon scorcher63.
From what you stated, when windows does start it only goes so far & than re-starts it's self, like loading in a loop. Than at times it loads the start up options.
For reasons unknown, your windows (startup files) are corrupted. Easyest way to fix this is. Put you windows CD in the cdrom, shut down the system. Start the PC & press the F8 key every 2 seconds. A boot menue will load. Use the up & down arror keys & choose the cdrom drive. You will see (to boot from cd press any key), press the space bar. The cdrom will startup. Windows will start to load. You want to repair windows. This option will re-install windows but will leave most of your personal data alone. Like My Documents your username. Some programs "may" need to be re-installed. After installation is complete remove the windows cd & shut off the PC. Start the Pc, windows should load. Run Windows Update. If you have a antivirus program please do a full system scan. Run windows Defrag program.
scorcher63, if you have more question just post them here.

K8 Neo-2 V-2.0

Please connect jPw1 to 4 Pin 12v, this supplies power to CPU. Than enter Bios & find Boot settings. Set the cdrom as boot 1 & hd as boot 2. Check the jumper on the cdrom, as it is the only device on secondary IDE controller it should be set as a master.
It is better to install a fresh copy of windows with a new motherboard. Put your windows CD in the cdrom & the system will boot to it. And your on your way. You can install the drivers for the board after windows has been installed.
Plaease vote..
