Just opened up the box for the stiletto, and as i powered it on, it has constantly made an attempt to power on, but before it goes to the main screen it shuts off, and then powers on again. This process of powering on and then turning off is repetitive, and has been happening for the last several hours. (the batteries are also fully charged). not sure what is wrong with it, or if its defective.
Solution is downloading the sirius recovery software from sirius.com My radio would not connect to my computer because it would not fully turn on. disconnect the battery. Hold the DISPLAY and OPTIONS button on the radio face when reconnecting battery. Connect to PC and Sirius Recovery Program will pop up. Run program, takes approx 10 to 15 min and radio works good as new.
RUNNING PROGRAM WILL ERASE YOUR LIBRARY ON YOUR RADIO....

Re: Stiletto constantly powering off
Your Stilletto has most likely been corrupted in the flash memory area that contains the OS. Sirius recommends the following;
SIRIUS Device Recovery (SDR) is a software application that helps you recover your Stiletto (SL2, SL100 or SL10) in the event of a complete system failure.
The SIRIUS Device Recovery program retrieves the latest version of software for your Stiletto from the Sirius website.
NOTE: Performing device recovery WILL ERASE the entire contents on your Stiletto: all music, Sirius recordings, channel presets and any user preferences. The Stiletto will be reset to its original factory state.
You can perform the revovery from the Sirius Studio software that came with your device or http://www.sirius.com/mysiriusstudio
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I've had this same problem happen a number of times to mine and all I do to fix it is to disconnect the battery for about 20 seconds and then reconnect and power on. Has fixed it every time (so far)! Hope this helps!
I also own a Stiletto 2 and I have noticed this same problem, but only when playing MP3's in my car. What I have found is that if the volume on the Stilletto is too high it creates distortion. The solution is to turn down the volume on the actual Stilletto and just use the volume on the car stereo. Problem solved everytime.
That's one of several problems my Stiletto 2 has. The only solution I've found is to "reboot" the unit. You'll have to remove the unit from the cradle, pop the back off, and remove the battery for a few seconds. Then put everything back together and power it up. It will take a minute or two, but once it reboots it should be fine.
You need the firmware upgrade from the Sirius website:
