#, *, c, * very quick then 14 print is reset, if it comes back after reset then it needs fuser/fuser lamp.

h4 is heater lamp failure but can be triggered sometimes by surge, hence reset first.

    MUST BE DONE FAST!

    all buttons are near keypad!

sharp has so many codes oldest CROP and CRUD. Current P*C*, and #,*,C,* then 14,...... my fingers do it easier than typing it....but none will fix your machine unless this fault was triggered by a power surge on appliances line, it is telling us that the fuser lamp/fuser is Kapoot!/GONE/FRIED/CHECKEDOUT.

Display panel h4 code any clues?

This error is displayed when the Fixing heater has not reached normal operating temperature after a specified time.
It is usually a blown heater element.

You will need a technician to repair this.

Please Help

Hi,

H4 indicates there is a fuser error.

Try resetting it by the pressing the following buttons on the display in sequence,

#, interrupt, Clear, interrupt,

display should go dead,

enter 14,

then press print, This will clear the error code

press CA to get out and return to normal.

However if there is still a problem with the fuser, the code will return. Then you may need to have a tech look at what is the problem.

Hope that helps...

MY SHARP AR5316 DISPLAY H4 WHEN I PUT IT ON

Here is the process

  1. Find the pink Clear button on the Control Panel of the WorkCentre.
  2. Find the button below the word Auto.
  3. Press these buttons in the following sequence: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] NOTE: All of the lights on the Control Panel should go out and the LED Display should go blank. If the lights do not go out, then repeat step 3 until they do. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the pace of the [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] sequence.
  4. Press the [10's] key one time and the [1's] key four times to enter '14' in the LED Display, as if you were to make 14 copies.
  5. Press the green [Start] button.
  6. Press the pink [Clear] button two times.
  7. The WorkCentre should now warm up and come to ready.
  8. If the above steps do not clear the error code, repeat steps 3 to 6 a second time.
