Question about Panasonic SC-HT75 System
After about 5 years of workiing fine, my SC-HT75 DVD player is giving me a "NO DISC" code, no matter what discs are inserted. I have removed the cover and observed that the disc never spins because the motor never turns.
Is there a known history of the disc motors going bad in these? Or could it be the controller circuitry? I would like to know if there is a possibility to repair it myself or not (I have an electronics background but have limited diagnostic tools and info for tracing to the actual source of the failure).
Laser/traverse deck needs replacement.Spindle motor fails to spin.If loaded disk will not turn give it a slight push to get it started. If it runs the motor is bad and the traverse deck needs replacement. Not an easy fix.You need to know specific procedures and alignments.
