My tge sigmatel hb500 mp4 player displayed a

Firmware updates are fairly iffy for the hb500, and you should have formatted (deleted everything on) the player, not updated the firmware.
If you can, connect the player to a windows PC via usb, then go to my computer and right click on the mp3 player. select "quick format" which will delete everything, and hopefully the fimware update will either work or be deleted. This is a long shot, I really don't expect it to work...
