Win 98 vs. i pod

I have win 98 and i cant use my i pod on my computer... it says that i do not have a driver... what can i do???

I'm not sure but you may have to download some software to make in run in 98. ? do you have a usb port on that computer?

Unfortunately there is not a Win 98 driver for this device - Windows 2000/SP3 or higher only.

Insignia Pilot - USB device not recognized

I fixed it! I guess it's good that I'm not tech ****** otherwise, I'd would've only had the option to return it as Insignia's tech support response sucks *****!

Go to their site, and look up how to switch your player from MTP read mode, to MSC read mode. (They'll say it's just for MACs, but I just did it for my WinXP Notebook and it solved all my problems.)

It's really simple, and should only take 2 minutes.

Sansa not loading on computer

there are no drivers for win98 operating system the player is designed to work with XP and Vista. If set to MSC it would work on Win 2000 SP4

Computer wont reconize mp3 player

i think u need a driver software for ur plyer

connect the plyer to win xp and say whether is detecting or not . if its detecting i xp definitely u need a driver in me . nextar is only providing driver for win 98 use the driver from link provided above
