Question about Canon PIXMA MP810 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Ink compatibility I just bought a replacement cartridge for my printer and although the packaging is almost exact to the one I normally buy, I bought the wrong one.  Instead of getting the CLI-8M I have the CLI-8PM.  I didn't actually realise though until I had opened the ink and tried installing it into my printer.  Is there any way in which my printer will be able to use this ink, or have I wasted my money and just need to buy another cartridge?  Any ideas?

Re: Ink compatibility

Unfortunately most printers are cartridge specific. Many of these cartridges are nearly identical, but one small protrusion will prevent one from working in a different but nearly identical printer. Sorry man, I think they do it like that just to make it a royal pain!

How to make ink cartridge 122 compatible for printer hp deskjet 1050 as i am from egypt and i bought this printer abroad with ink cartridge 61 which i can't found in nearby stores

You would not be able to make one in a normal small workshop, these are precision items that rely on correct temperatures as well as materials. Buy one on ebay from another country and have them post it to you.

I have a f4480 hp printer. Used it about 3 times in last 6 mos. It was not printing with the black ink so I just bought #74 & #75 ink from Staples. Now the yellow light on the front of the printer...

If the ink cartridge in the printer is 6 months old, it maybe dried out and would need to be replaced with a new cartridge. When buying new cartridges from places like Walmart, Target etc. check the dates on the packages before buying. Sometimes the cartridges will set in the store too long and dry out.

I bought my HP Photosmart C6280 in Switzerland, using cartridges 363. Now I have moved to South Africa and I can only buy cartridges 177. When I put them into my printer it says "Incorrect Ink...

it is likely that you havr a mix of trade and host supply of ink cartridges. Even though HP363 and HP177 are compatible cartridges it is not the issue. Refer this article.

Hope this helps.

Refilled my Dell Ink Cartridge

yes, it's safe, and if you are dissatisfied with the cartridge, take it up with the cartridge re-filler...better yet, spend about $100 on a black & white laser printer (HP), and get 2000 pages per cartridge, and reduce cost per page by 20 times or more! And If you buy compatibles for this (which are more reliable) -save even more.

Lc 41y

i do not need a technical solution- all i need is how can i get a new yellow lc41y ink cartridge to replace a defective one
can i exchange the cartridge for a new one or
can i buy only a yellow cartridge
if neither i will have to buy another package and am stuck with defective yellow cartridge

i bought a package of 3 colors necessary to print in black- yellow wouldn't take - luckily i always have an extra package so i replaced the yellow and my printer works
but my extra package is now short a yellow cartridge-

my problem is outside the box - thanks anyway

Cartidge problem

Many "compatible" cartridges are badly manufactured or even labeld wrong. These can damage or block the connectors on Epson printers. your best bet is go buy new ink and try them, then if it still dont recognise, you could buy some ink cleaning cartiridges and give them a try - Google "Epson Print Head cleaning" Failing that go buy a new printer - Epson's are real cheap new.
